此種求積儀為線性式求積儀的變形，測量是由追蹤點在兩個方向的線性移動組成，追蹤點移動時，會透過兩個線性滑軌的移動帶動圓盤旋轉，進而使儀器上方的紀錄輪滾動，且與紀錄輪同軸的刻度盤也會跟著旋轉。

This special type of planimeter is a variation of the linear planimeter. The measurement process consists of the tracing point moving linearly in two directions. As the tracing point moves, it causes two linear sliders to move, which in turn rotates a disk, making the recording wheel on top of the instrument roll. The scale dial, which is coaxial with the recording wheel, also rotates along with it.
